Meet Fiona

Growing up in a rural landscape, the rolling hills of the Scottish Borders were the backdrop for my appreciation of the natural world. This early interest in nature would prove invaluable, as it is a continuing source of inspiration, informing my approach to jewellery design.

After studying at Buckinghamshire University College in High Wycombe, I moved to Northern Ireland and as an apprentice to one of the country’s leading jewellers I gained extensive knowledge in Jewellery making techniques and manufacturing processes.  My first collection was created in 2002. Aiming to design and make each piece of jewellery by hand to the highest standard. I wanted to create classic, elegant jewellery with a modern twist. Jewellery to be loved and cherished and above all, worn. Fiona Kerr Jewellery has become synonymous with high quality contemporary handmade luxury, my aims are undiminished.

Using traditional jewellery making techniques all the jewellery I create is made within my small stone built workshop, it’s where the magic happens. I love working with precious metals at the jeweller’s bench, combining contrasting textures with the polished lustres of gold and silver, adorning with shimmering precious and semi-precious gemstones, the process of creation is an endless fascination for me.

As well as online at fionakerrjewellery.co.uk I continue to show my collections and one-off designs through exhibitions, galleries and selected stockists throughout Ireland, the United Kingdom and further afield. Private viewings and commissions can be arranged by appointment from my studio workshop in Co. Fermanagh.
